echo

I test ran this plugin but find it to be a little lacking it doesn't have the punch of a real Echo plex I know because I own a Echoplex 3, it is a pretty good echo if your not looking for the the preamp sound of a real echoplex !

Tres déçu par le souffle...

très bon écho a bande , mais le souffle est colossal et ce plug ne peut pas être employé partout a cause de cela ..il est dommage de ne pas pouvoir zoomer les interfaces ..

Not really much use for it

Nothing Special, after playing around for a couple of weeks with it I come very often to the conclusion that other plugins do the job better for me. It sounds ok but sometimes just "ok" ist not enough.
A stereo Version would be nice, indeed...

Its okay, I was expecting a lot more.

I was really expecting a lot from this plugin as a tape delay. Maybe I have the wrong idea as to what a tape delay really should do but it is a delay however. I tried it on vocals and played with the settings bias etc, at the end of the day its just an OKAY plugin nothing more.
I can see why some people rate it high tho, don't get me wrong, it would make good for transparent delays on vocals of varying genres etc. and also make for a good delay for instruments. :/ my thoughts still remain that its just okay.

I wanted to buy it so I demoed it, there's really not much more to say. Sat and pictured if I would even used this plugin and the answer really is no. I'd more use a stock daw plugin or etc.

But, why doesn't UAD have a stock Delay?

Wish there were stereo options, feedback is beautiful though

I completely agree with the person above who desires a full stereo version. The feedback distortion on this plugin is unbeatable though...
For most sessions I would rather use echoboy because it is so much more flexible.

Good sounding but limited

I'm kinda mixed about this plugin. On the one side, it is the best sounding tape delay plugin I've heard, on the other side it is about as limited as the hardware.

I've found that by using Logics Delay Designer and the UAD Ampex plug I can get just as good of a tape delay with far greater control and flexibility. It's like having the best of both worlds. Lush panned delays with realistic tape degradation wow and flutter. The only downside would be the DSP usage, but the EP-34 isn't easy on the DSP either.

This does have the ability to self-oscillate just like the original. But that effect has been over used already so I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Would be great if UA took this knowledge and made a tape delay with modern features.

nice, unobtrusive

I was expecting a wow when I "plugged" it in but it was more like a "okay, nice" Maybe I have to fiddle about with it a bit more. A stereo feature would be a blessing. PLEASE DO A FULL STEREO VERSION with independant ms!! It's such a pain to route these things. ;)
