A must have
I was lucky enough, back in the 80's, to get to use the originals of the 1176 hardware units and I must say that these plug-ins come VERY close to the "vibe" that these were used for.
Great emulation with the added bonus of no maintenance needed!

it`s simply perfect
i tried it first when i got my uad2-quad, but i didn`t really got the concept, but when i saw the great price a few weeks ago i thought: let`s give it another try.
and after reading the manual i was enlightened immediately and since then i use it in every project.
it just sound so good and you can get this nice warmth and presence as you would expect from an old analog legend.
so far it`s the UAD plugin i`m most happy with

must-have in every Apollo's owner arsenal
I have used the Solo 610 HW for many years, and have been addicted to that sound on some R'n'R vocals and acoustic guitars.
To be honest, SW 610 does not sound exactly like my HW Solo 610 . But as I suspect my "modern" 610 is not sounding as old 610's, that's not saying that this plug is not a good emulation of the original UA preamp.
In other hand, I have to admit that I don't care too much about the emulation aspect because this plug brings the special thing I was looking for when using the HW 610
To summarize, using as Apollo Unison preamp plug , these two UA610 are definitely must-have in every Apollo's owner arsenal !

An awesome EQ
This is a truly awesome plugin. It makes me smile almost every time I try it. Really my favourite EQ and I already have quite a number and I cannot imagine doing a mix without it.

UA 610
I've had the software for 2 weeks and UA can't get it running..... no end of excuses with UA operating version problems and Mac OS conflicts - the software was obviously not properly sorted before it was sold! I'll give it one star only because there is not a 'no star' rating. UA need to immediately clearly label which products will work with which UA software version & which Mac OS. Just a huge waste of time & very frustrating because I'm located in the Southern Hemisphere and no local time helpline is available. UA are happy to take the money but don't backup their product.

UA 610

Great on vocals!!!
I don´t have hardware versions of these (I´d love to) but UA LA-2A bundle sounds terrific on vocals and bass.
I recently recorded a Harry Connick Jr. cover called "Just like me", just to try the new UA plugins I bought with my new Octocore card. It is a very simple song and I wanted to capture the airy, clean, punchy, sound of the record with that modern vintage vibe. Here´s the link in case you wanna take a listen.

Initially I chose 1176 bundle, but I had to buy LA-2A bundle after hearing how the demo version sounded on vocals. It´s so easy to get the correct sound. A sound I just couldn´t get with 1176 (which is terrific on drums and guitars).

Excellents pluggins. Apporte vraiment sans la contrainte financier ni le poids d'un Hardware. Beaucoup plus interressant que le Legacy.

great emulation
this emulation is wonderful!
As i'm mostly doing narration i put the 610 in my insert to warm up my recordings.
For this it sounds very very creamy.
The built in eq does a good job.
Unfortunately the Apollo twin is just available for Mac-platform. Just to use it as Unison Preamp, i would buy the Apollo twin

Pultec Passion
Not enough adjectives to describe what this EQ means to my set-up. Fat, rich,depth, warmth, bliss!! Easy and fun to use. Does it sound like a Pultec? I wouldnt know, but it sounds good and thats all i care about. It goes on everything, and my mixes sound better than ever as a result.

LA2A Classic Collection
Over the years I've used both U.A. and Summit hardware compression and limiting along with McDSP's LA2A emulation. The Teletronix plug-ins do a fantastic job. Very close to great rack mount units which I use daily. I do high end acoustic music, along with traditional blues. country and classic rock. Also known for beautifll sounding strings, bass, cello and violin. I'm prefering the LA2 origional on vocals and standup bass. Puts some meat on the bone! All three are very nice. Amazing!
This new collections (1176, LA2a, Pultec, Neve) are just simply amazing!! This Fairchild Tube Limiter Collection adds so much character and depth that I can't live without it. I use it primarily on acoustic and electric guitars, drum loops, percusion, etc.
All the work I do is so much better since I start using your plug-ins. Thank you Universal Audio for your amazing job!

Awesome Plug-In!!!
Great plugin. Adds a warm character to any track. Great on drums & drum busses. Would definitely recommend this to any producer/engineer.

Had to Get The Monsters
These Compressors are well Known and very Much a Must for everyones studio. Raved by many to Be one of the Most sought out and Expensive Pieces of Equiptment In the Industry...I like many of You don't Have thousands to Purchase these gems and even if you did they are very rare finds,so why not get the next best thing,it's Plug Ins from UAD. They are clean and take nothing from your Mixes...
