I'm a guitarist who needed a quick fix to put scratch bass tracks on song ideas I send to my band mates...what started out as a solution sounded better than my bassists' bass tracks. Thank you UA! Great plugin.

With all the newer UA amp mods this classic package is sometimes a bit overlooked. Well, I found a new use today. A lot has been made of the great guitar tones Pete Townsend got on the early mid 70s. He used a Gretsch and a Bandmaster. However, his tone at Live at Leeds and Isle of Wight was equally beefy and very similar.
Evidently the BASS amp in this plugin is modeled after an old tube Hiwatt similar to what he used live. Grab your favorite P90 guitar, run thru the bass amp on high gain, crank it up a bit (or all the way). Viola!!! Instant Classic Who guitar tone.

This is limited but useful and worth the price is you need it in a pinch. It doesn't hold a candle to using a real amp with a real microphone, but I do not regret the purchase. When you need to move fast and record direct, or if you don't have a good amp and mic then. This is well worth it. I only gave it three stars because I feel like there are a lot of features on the real amps that these are missing.
